Plant description Aguaymanto comes from South America, but it is also harvested in other regions of the world. The fruits can be encountered in fertile soils in upper ranges of the mountains. The shrubs are extremely resistant to external factors and not too demanding with regards to fertility of soil and the surrounding environment.

Effect Aguaymanto fruit is a rich source of beta-carotene, vitamin C, niacin and phosphorus, proteins, bioflavonoids (vitamin P), pectins. Thanks to this the following are attributed to goldenberries: - beneficial effects on the immune system - improve the condition of the capillaries - seal and strengthen the walls of blood vessels - prevent hemorrhages, improve blood flow in the coronary arteries - are useful in the treatment of atherosclerosis - exhibit antiallergic, antifungal, anticancer and antiulcer effects - effectively reduce cholesterol levels, especially LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) - prevent the decrease of glucose in blood |
