It is also a very variable species - the Eurasian typical variety reaches up to several meters in height, while the other varieties creep or rise, reaching a small height. Common juniper has versatile utility and played an important role in human culture, also as a magic plant. It is used, among others as a medicinal, edible, essential oil, dyeing plant.
