Properties Thanks to the presence of biologically active compounds such as stilbenes, flavonoids (akacetin), non-protein amino acid, coumaric acid derivatives, naphthoquinone, tannins and mucus, this plant is attributed to lower blood sugar, to regenerate the pancreas cells, and possess anti-inflammatory, expectorant and anti-oxidant properties. Cuti Cuti consumed as a decoction has properties governing the regeneration of pancreatic cells. Therefore, the plant is used as support in the treatment of diabetes - especially type 2 - and chronic pancreatic inflammation, including pancreas cancer.
