Plant description A species of subshrub from the family fabaceae, occurring quite commonly in Europe and the temperate zone of Asia. In Poland, Blooms from June to September. It is a photophilous species. Its habitats are sunny slopes of valleys and ravines, roadside, dry meadows, escarpments and forest edges. It grows singly or a dozen to several dozen individuals. |

Properties - in its composition it has an essential oil - spinosyn, flavonoids, tannins, organic acids (eg lemon), resins, phyto-glutinins, kumaranochroman derivatives, mineral salts - shows a rather strong diuretic effect, facilitates excretion of urea, chlorides and various harmful metabolic products from the body - preparations weakly stimulate the secretion of gastric juice, slightly inhibit minor bleeding from the capillaries of the gastrointestinal tract, - has a weak anti-inflammatory effect - has a beneficial effect in the treatment of hemorrhoids |
