YACON - syrup - 250g
Plant description Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) grows in South America on the slopes of the mountains at an altitude of 3500 meters. It belongs to the same species as sunflower, however, is most often associated with potato and radish. Yacon syrup is obtained from the rhizomes of the plant and then thickened by evaporation of water, without the addition of chemicals - it has a dark brown color and is thick as molasses. |

Properties Yacon is a low-calorie plant (it contains a low-calorie sugar) and is great for any slimming diets (100 g of yacon has 15-20 kcal). The beneficial effect is mainly attributed to the leaves. Their consumption significantly reduces the level of sugar in the blood. Yacon delays the visible effects of aging of the skin and can be used as a diuretic to facilitate the excretion of toxins (clears the kidneys). |
