Plant description Camu Camu is a small tree-shrub reaching a height of 3 - 6 meters. It grows in the western area of the Amazon, mainly in Peru, but also in Brazil. It has a dense feathery leaves. The flowers have a white waxy petals and emit a sweet scent. The fruits resemble cherries, which appear after 4 - 6 years. They are big and soft and range in color from bright orange to intense red. The fruits are sour and contain large amounts of vitamin C, making it a great diet supplement. |
