Plant description Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) - a species of tree from the nutmeg family, evergreen tree, growing up to 10 meters. It comes from the Banda Islands - parts of the Moluccas known as the Spice Islands, which are part of the Malay Archipelago. It has fruits - single-seeded capsules, fleshy, spherical or slightly shaped. The bags are bursting with two flaps.
